To Mpakaliko tou Hapsi is a traditional coffeeshop in the picturesque village of Agros, housed in an old stone building full of character! The principle is simple: whatever is served on the menu- for breakfast, brunch, teas etc- is also sold from the mpakaliko! Therefore the coffeeshop also acts as a retailer of traditional products.
To Mpakaliko tou Hapsi takes ‘local’ to a whole new level, since approximately 90% of the products sold, are not only Cypriot, but they come from Agros village itself, from the bread to the cheese and the honey served. The young owner Marios Hapsis is in his early 30s (a photographer by profession), and opened the place a couple of years ago, intent on bringing village traditions to life in a fresh new way. With Marios also a member of the Cyprus Superfoods team, you can also find healthy teas cultivated in Cyprus, and jams made with local fruit and superfoods.
