Stardust Building Supplies is a non-profit organisation that provides quality reclaimed materials for reuse. Stardust encourages environmentally sustainable practices by offering free Deconstruction, a green alternative to conventional demolition, and donation pick-up services to prevent the waste of usable building materials.
The construction materials and furnishings that are donated to Stardust are sold at either the organisation’s premises or online, at 50-80% below retail cost, providing affordable materials for low-income families. The proceeds from this sale are used to fund Stardust’s activities and programmes, such as Gifts In Kind. The Gifts In Kind (GIK) Program provides over 300 non-profit organizations with essential items including toiletries, housewares and building supplies to help serve the community. This is done by partnering with local retailers to collect overstocked, returned or slightly damaged inventory that would otherwise be thrown away.
