My love for tradition and especially the Cypriot arts and crafts has lead me to leave the town and to move into a village. I live in a traditional stone made Cypriot house in Choirokitia, which is also my workplace and my workshop. I have decorated all the house-workshop with my own handmade creations. It is like a small mosaic of Cypriot culture. My main activity is the traditional Cypriot soft basketry. I also participate in various events and exhibitions where I demonstrate my art and crafts and I always encourage people to try to get involved and experience how each thing is made. For me, basketry is not only my job is a way of life because it connects me with tradition which is so important and we should try to maintain it and transfer it to younger people. I am always very eager to host people for a visit in my workshop or to attend in training courses and show samples of my work.
