This sector encompasses the primary sector of the economy; the exploitation of vegetal and animal natural resources, comprising the activities of growing of crops, raising and breeding of animals. It also entails the harvesting of timber and other plants, production of firewood, charcoal and round wood, and other products that undergo little processing. Additionally it includes capture fishery –marine or freshwater- and aquaculture activities.
